About Me

As of 13 March 2019, I will be started my transitional leave from the US Armed Forces. I will be officially retired in July 2019. While serving I had the opportunity to acquire knowledge and work within a wide variety occupations - Some of which were: Signaleer, Recruiter, Instructor, IT, Network Field Tech, and Microsoft SharePoint Site Collection Owner and Administrator.

In my personal life I have developed quite an affinity for: photography, writing, videography, web design/development, podcasting, boating, cycling and travel. So when people warn me about how bored I will become after retiring, I just smile and chuckle to myself.

On 29 April 2019 I became a member of the Leidos team where currently I am the SharePoint Administrator for CECOM (Communication Electronics Command) at Fort Gordon, GA.

About This Site

Several years ago when I reclassed to Army MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) 25B, I already had a keen interest in learning code. However, within the 25B field, the code I would be learning was limited to Networking only. Determined not to be deterred, I began teaching myself, mostly via online tutorials, web languages: html, javascript, CSS, JAVA, C#, SQL and PHP.

Utilizing Bootstrap framework along with server-side and db languages PHP and SQL, I designed and developed both charlestonandlowcountry.com and this site. I developed stevevonline.com to be a multi-blog platform which enables me to elaborate on a much broader spectrum of subjects and ideals. Each blog is completely separate from the others with its own categories and archives. I programmed the search capabilities however to search all blogs simultaneously according to titles and keywords.
